Fantastic large green leaves have prominent ribs and wavy, toothed margins making a small, shrubby tree from northeastern Turkey, Armenia, and the Caucasus Mountains. Its bark is somewhat fissured and gray-brown and its fall acorns appear in clusters of 2–5 at the shoot tips. 8-inch long olive-yellow catkins are significantly showy in April and May.

Once your order is ready, we bring the plants from our greenhouses into a holding area. Each plant is wrapped by hand and, when needed, staked to protect tender stems. Because our inventory is so diverse, we adjust the packing method for each plant based on its size, type, and stage of growth.

We reuse clean paper and plastic packing materials whenever practical. It is easier on the planet and helps keep shipping costs down for you, too.
