Kurabayashii is one of the most sought-after west coast native species. You'll find it in the woodlands of Southern Oregon if you are especially lucky. Mottled, large leaves and upright, rich, deep red flowers in spring will cause garden guests to draw in their breath in amazement. Given woodland humus and regular water, it will form a large, lush colony. These are seedlings raised here at the nursery so some variation in color can be expected.
