A compact perennial with upright stems. The bulk of the deep, gentian-blue bloom spikes appear at stem ends in early spring, but judicious dead-heading will encourage small bursts of bloom through summer. The oblong, toothed leaves of bright green are an invigorating contrast to the bright blooms.
