Vigorous and floriferous, ‘Otsaka’ is one of the oldest mophead varieties with large cream-colored blooms in neutral soil (Creamy blooms have the faintest shade of blue in acidic soils and the softest hint of pink if alkaline). Buds come from old wood, bloom in summer, last into fall, and are great for drying. Large serrated green leaves upon reddish stems grow into a nice rounded shrub. Full sun to partial or dappled shade, moist soil.
