Spiny, 7-inch long, evergreen deep green leaves allow axillary clusters of tiny, very fragrant, creamy-white flowers from early to late-autumn. Handsome and dense (alas, like too many), it's suitable for an always good-looking focal point or as part of a screen. ("Osme" means fragrant, and "anthos" means flower in Greek.) It's native to Hubei and Sichuan, China, where it grows on lower alpine slopes. It will accommodate full sun with the provision that it will get more water.

Makes an excellent fall pair with Parthenocissus henryana, also known as Silvervein Creeper.
