Small, semi-double, fragrant white flowers with sometimes a light pink cast, bloom once in summer. Profuse flowers are very impressive if sent up a large tree, climbing up to 30 feet. That will work perfectly because it takes part shade.
We have this one climbing up an Oak Tree across from our checkout and it is a highlight of the early summer garden. I read an article on Rambling Roses by Robin Lane Fox after he visited the National Collection of Rambler Roses at Moor Wood in the UK and I was delighted to see that 'Janet B Wood' was listed as one of four favorites of the founders.
In our location, this rose is prone to some powdery mildew but nothing so major it takes away from the blooms.
