Mat-forming gray-green basal rosettes spread by red stolons. A cloud of small pink flowers blooms atop long stems in August — a good rock garden candidate desirous of well-drained, lean, gritty soil. Established plants require little water but not a true DRY garden groundcover. The geometric spiral rosettes are a case study for the Golden Section.
