Groundcover from of Arctostaphylos glandulosa ssp. cushingiana once thought to be its own variety, A. cushingiana var. repens. It comes from a group of A. glandulosa ssp. cushingiana from Inverness Ridge at the Point Reyes Peninsula with distinct tight, sharply-pointed foliage of rich deep green, resembling a huckleberry.
Collected at the Point Reyes Peninsula by James Roof and introduced to cultivation by the Regional Parks Botanic Garden.
