A rare species endemic to the Monterey Peninsula and surrounding area, selected by Dave Fross.  'Wavelength' is a beautiful, dense shrub with grey-green leaves and a fine, velvety texture. The bronze hue, on newly emerging spring foliage, makes an especially fetching contrast to the white flowers that are an important nectar source for hummingbirds and bees.  The lovely rippling form and low expanded width make this selection an excellent candidate for stabilizing a sloped site.  Appreciates some summer water, well-drained soil, and afternoon shade inland!! Coastal folks will love this one. Evergreen.
