Highly dense, low evergreen fern with branched front tips. New fronds emerge each spring with a red, coppery color, more vibrant with more light.
Prefers light shade with rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils, though an established plant can handle some drought. These ferns will grow in sun, but will require much more water to maintain their beauty regimen through the summer. We recommend planting under a deciduous tree or shrub to get the full spring show of red fronds, brought to you by more winter light.
