We obtained seeds for this shrub from Mediterranean Seeds and Bulbs, a must-visit website for anyone interested in drought-tolerant plants, and cannot wait to put it to the test in our garden. This shrub is native to high-elevation rocky sites in Saudi Arabia and Yemen with large silver foliage and pink cornflower-like blooms.
We could not find much information on this plant, but we will update the hardiness and description as we find it.
2026 update: Only 1/4 of the plants survived their first Oregon winter; the coldest temperature was 18°F. The plant that survived was under a deep awning on the SE side of a building, so quite protected from both winter rain and cold. We will, of course, try again!
