This evergreen rock rose has white, crepe-paper blooms with red spots on each petal at the bloom's center. Resinous leaves are a brilliant waxy green and aromatic especially in warm weather. A western Mediterranean plant: fragrant, ornamental, and medicinal like the species Cistus ladanifer though a bit smaller and rounder with denser foliage.
