The windswept appearance of Cistus libanotis ssp. major blends well with Arctostaphylos and other drought-tolerant species. Expect shredded bark to develop on the twisted grey branches as the plant matures.
Slender foliage, resembling willow leaves, provides a fine textured back drop for the large crepe-paper-like white flowers that bloom in extended clusters held above the main plant. Blooms mid-spring - mid-summer.
