Charming and delicate flared white lanterns dangle from fine, arching, reddish stems with smooth green leaves. Bright orange fruits ornament the branches in late summer. Home ground for this West Coast native extends from Vancouver Island to Northern California. 

Best planted in dappled shade with supplemental summer water. An established plant can handle some drought, but it will look its best with some assistance.
