Politely mounding 'Mavis Simpson' is a hybrid between G. endressii and G. traversii that typically grows 1 foot tall and spreads by trailing stems to 2-3 feet wide. One of the longest blooming hardy geraniums; in temperate climates, it blooms reliably from summer to frost. Expect fewer blooms where summers are hot. The one-inch delicate pink blossoms have pale pink to white centers with purple veins against grey-green leaves. Plants are drought tolerant once established though they appreciate some summer water and moderately fertile soil. Top dressing with compost is appreciated though not required.
