A large deciduous shrub with ovate to three-lobed leaves margined irregularly with creamy-white. Set amongst the variegated leaves are black cherry-red buds that, interestingly, do not entirely open. It's a late summer bloomer, and like most late bloomers, so worthwhile. (Most gardens are in need of late bloomers.) Happy with a wide range of soils. This plant appreciates full sun!
