A Dan Hinkley collection from the mountains of Taiwan. The leaves are fuzzy and can be huge: up to 1 foot in length. Also enormous, plate-sized, white and mauve flowers in late summer. Prefers bright shade and moist soils.
This is the last hydrangea to bloom in the garden. It hits the peak of its bloom in mid to late October and assists in the final hurrah for many pollinators, particularly bees.
