Typical St. John's Wort flowers decorate a curious textured mounding dwarf shrub from the Balearic Islands off Eastern Spain. Deep green leaves with crinkled margins grow neatly paired along upright warty stems which turn red with age.
Grows best in lean sandy loam soils. Like many other Mediterranean plants, this small shrub is happy to grow in our Willamette Valley clay if given a site with good drainage.
