These orchid-like, large white Melittis flowers have dark purple tongues with scalloped white edges. Stalks of blooms decorate this mounding woodland perennial in the late spring or early summer. Leaves and flowers have a distinct honey-mint fragrance; their plentiful nectar is invaluable to bees butterflies and hummingbirds. When not in bloom a tidy compact clump of fuzzy lush green quilted leaves with minty fragrance. Full sun-part shade. Dry shade tolerant once established. Deer resistant!
