A rare native species from the mountainous serpentines in Northern California into Southern Oregon with deeper pink-purple flowers than most of our native monardellas. Globe-like flowers adorn the fragrant evergreen foliage through the summer. Deer-resistant.
They perform best in full sun to part sun and will tolerate light shade (but mostly as a foliage plant). Drought-tolerant once established, but happier with some supplemental summer water during our heat waves.
