Evergreen, interesting, and very pretty, this Phlomis surrounds its stems with soft pink tiered whorls of hooded flowers in mid-summer, and the leaves are a complimentary light grey-green – altogether soft in texture and soft in color. Grows to a compact, manageable size. (Incidentally, the Balearic Islands are off the coast of Spain near Mallorca, but you knew that, right?)
