Striking pure white bases on each leaf adjacent to the red stem give way to muted dark and light green parallel-striped pointed leaves. White and green bell-like flowers adorn the stems in spring. Dappled shade to full shade to protect the bold variegation from burning in the light of the sun. Grows relatively quickly for the genus.
The leaves will emerge all green and transition to white and green as the stems mature.
