An eye-catching primrose developed from a rare find at a nursery in England in 1999. Unusual undulating lobed leaves form a lush rosette with a dashing sparkler-like flower spike that opens deep magenta and then matures to blue-purple with a sunny yellow center. The color is more purple than blue to my eyes but I didn't bestow the name. It blooms for a long time in late winter.
Herbaceous foliage will dry back to the ground in winter. Keep the soil evenly moist in an aspect of filtered woodland light to full shade.
