Seemingly airborne swarms of small, elegant, blue tubular flowers bloom in fall on this tall woodland perennial gem from the mountains of Japan. Fall is a terrific time for blue in the garden to make the oranges that much more brilliant and the blue more penetrating. And just when so many other plants are deflating, this one comes along to extend the flower season. 2 – 3' tall, clumping. Regular summer water is a must.
