Spring to frost, single cupped flowers open soft warm yellow, then copper-orange, then watermelon-pink, then rose, creating an ever-changing (mutabilis) mix of colors simultaneously depending upon the maturity of the individual blooms. Owing its burgundy new growth to its Chinese parentage, this rose is very disease-resistant and can be considered a short climber or a large shrub rose.
