Spikes thick with brilliant red-violet florets ascend through strongly minty leaves in late summer and into fall. In China, its native range includes valley stream-sides, rocky mountains, and dry hillsides. It's a great new bee attractant for us, both honey and bumble! Versatile when it comes to habitat and rare! Think of it as a sophisticated Buddleia.

It is best to prune in late winter as it blooms on new growth.
