This richly-hued New Zealand native features arching bronze, grassy leaves with cherry-red margins and a clumping habit. It prefers cool, moist conditions and is decidedly unhappy in full sun with excessive heat. Excellent massed in a low border next to a lawn or pond, in containers with blue-foliaged plants, or in mixed drifts in a woodland garden. Beautiful in combination with Sarracenia (Pitcher Plant) and Eriophorum angustifolium (Cotton Grass). Petite.
