Extra-large, white flowers on a relatively low-growing, ground-covering anemone. A perfect choice for planting under taller woodland perennials--it will form a nice, delicate mat but will not be a thug and crowd out others. It'll be happiest in moist, humusy, woodland soils, but can tolerate summer drought since that is when it goes dormant.
NOTE: These are SUMMER DORMANT plants; they dry up and go "to sleep" after they bloom in spring. Other examples of summer dormant plants are Tulips and Daffodils. Do not be alarmed when they disappear with the onset of warm weather days--given proper conditions, they will be back the next spring, bigger and better than before.
