This is a cross from Russia between Chilopsis linearis (Desert Willow) and Catalpa bignonioides. It is a rapidly growing deciduous tree, branching readily near its base with ascending branches that form a dense, broad, oval crown. Large clusters of light pink flowers are flared, frilly funnels in late spring through summer.
Mature size: 20-25 ft T x W. Our older tree in the garden is not this large perhaps from not getting any summer water.
Minimum temperature: -10° F
