Hollow (fistula) square stems culminate in large, lavender-pink flower heads comprised of tubular flowers and leafy bracts. It's attractive to butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds summer-long! A native of Canada, the United States, and Mexico, it's used to tough conditions: rocky, sunny, and dry.
