Native to the eastern Columbia River Gorge, this late spring pink (rosy to lilac) penstemon grows on talus slopes in the shade of overhanging cliffs. This is a rare and special plant, particularly because it is difficult to enjoy in the wild unless you're a rock climber. Note that this Penstemon is a dry shade- , or part shade-lover, as well as sun. Blooms are ~1-1/2 inches long.
