Always to remain one of my favored asters because of its elegant dark leaves liberally sprinkled with white, raspberry-pink-centered flowers — profuse tiny delights make a cloud of bloom — a prince of a plant. Stiff, tight, shrubby growth. Starts blooming in late summer and continues well into late October. Our full size plant photo was taken October 17th, 2025.
After many years of growing this aster, we can say that it really seems to prefer its space. Many asters are happy campers in the cottage style garden, but this one does not like close neighbors. Give it around 1 ft in each direction to its nearest neighbor.
