Pretty rosettes of rounded, grass-green leaves give rise to 1-4 ft stems with multiple small white flowers clustered at the top. A cheerful sight in spring.

This West Coast native is a long-lived perennial for tricky garden areas that are waterlogged in winter and spring, and moist-to-dry in summer. (Note that it goes summer dormant to cope with summer drought conditions.) It's an early spring bloomer that provides a crucial nectar source for native pollinators.

Minimum temperature: -10° F
