'Blue Bloomers' flowers in early summer, a lovely double, subdued blue flower--a cup inside a cup, on sturdy, narrow stems. Semi-evergreen foliage. Quite floriferous and does amazingly well in our dry garden. Native to open woods, shrubby slopes, and mountain meadows of Europe and Asia. This plant is generally intolerant of the extreme heat of the Deep South. Another one of those choice plants that pout in nursery pots but hit their stride once planted in the ground.
