A species rose from China but named for Brian Mulligan, former Curator of the Arboretum in Seattle: large yellow bosses ornament single white blooms in profuse, large, pendent clusters that become multitudinous, small, blood-red hips. It has a somewhat fruity fragrance and is enjoyed by bees and butterflies; flowers well even in light shade. Fall brings significant color in various golds. 60' T x 25' W — best for a large landscape space.
Minimum temperature: -30° F
