Allium ‘Ostara’ is a cross between Allium karataviense and Allium atropurpureum with the best qualities from its parents. Reddish-purple globes hover around 12” tall on stocky stems above broad leaves. Retains its foliage better than other allium while blooming. A sun-loving bulb blooming late spring-early summer and then summer dormant.
