Enchanting, faceted, urn-shaped flowers are stained pink and inscribed with deep red. They're borne in clusters along arching branches spring through summer. An unusual beauty from Himalayan moist forested foothills, dappled shade and acidic, well-draining soil will cure its homesickness. It's lovely in a large pot that can be brought inside in winter if you're in a colder climate. Evergreen, it has narrow, leathery leaves in opposite pairs.
