'Wayside' is an evergreen spreader with fine-textured small dark green leaves. A slightly taller option (6 in or so) than its relative Arctostaphylos hookeri 'Ken Taylor'. It's marvelous on a bank and a favorite selection year after year. White blooms in early spring.
