This dappled-shade-lover has arching, soft, leaves that reach 8 inches. In late spring, masses of LARGE, wooly, yellow flower clusters rise above. Unlike most sedges, this beauty prefers loose DRY soil, rather than moist. It can creep slowly via rhizomes and, in optimal conditions, can seed itself.
