Clusters of blue flowers with reflexed petals bloom in early through mid-summer, becoming Gentian-blue fruit in late fall. The berries are enjoyed by birds. With acidic soil, the flowers will be dark blue, and light blue in alkaline soils - both very pretty. Protect from cold, drying winds in winter. A Hydrangea cousin and a native from Nepal to China.

Blooms on new wood.

Evergreen in warmer climates. At our location in the Willamette Valley, it is deciduous.

Carefully packed for each plant

Once your order is ready, we bring the plants from our greenhouses into a holding area. Each plant is wrapped by hand and, when needed, staked to protect tender stems. Because our inventory is so diverse, we adjust the packing method for each plant based on its size, type, and stage of growth.

We reuse clean paper and plastic packing materials whenever practical. It is easier on the planet and helps keep shipping costs down for you, too.
