Deep copper-maroon, threadlike fragrant blooms in mid-winter through early spring are at their very best when backlit by the sun. Large leaves reminiscent of Hazelnut leaves, but perhaps prettier, turn yellow, orange, and red in fall on this broadly vase-shaped deciduous shrub.

Carefully packed for each plant

Once your order is ready, we bring the plants from our greenhouses into a holding area. Each plant is wrapped by hand and, when needed, staked to protect tender stems. Because our inventory is so diverse, we adjust the packing method for each plant based on its size, type, and stage of growth.

We reuse clean paper and plastic packing materials whenever practical. It is easier on the planet and helps keep shipping costs down for you, too.
