Incredibly rich and varied hues unfurl from these hybrids. Colors available vary season to season, but they will always, always delight you with their surprises. Blooms emerge in April (we will see the odd March bloomers) and continue till June. They fill an important bloom time between the late winter-early spring and the summer blooming perennials. These Iris tolerate a wide range of exposure conditions, from full sun to mostly shade, rocky soils to woodland. They do not tolerate soils with sitting water.
We have them in the dry garden meadow in clay, full sun, and no summer water, in woodland beds with richer soil and some summer water, and they can even tolerate the gravel parking lot.
Colors vary from yellow, white, light purple, and dark purple. 2025 plants from divisions, not seed.
