Terminal (P. terminalis) spikes of small white flowers bloom in early spring above a carpet of whorled, extremely glossy leaves. 6 – 12" T and colonizing by rhizomes, it loves rich, organic, well-draining soils, and will remain healthy if occasionally thinned.
