This selection of the Eastern U.S. native was chosen for its relatively compact habit and has showy and fragrant lilac-purple panicles that bloom early spring and into summer...and can repeat bloom into September if conditions are good. Wisterias like rich non-alkaline soil and full or part sun. Make certain their supports are sturdy; later, with age they can become self-supporting. Deer-resistant!
