The pink-tinged, white "blooms" on this dogwood are stunning--the four bracts curl up toward each other—and are sometimes fused together—at the tips to form a spherical, open-sided, lantern-like shape! Leaves are soft green with a blue tint. It originates from high-elevation, mountain woodlands in Mexico, so protection from the hot afternoon sun and regular water will keep it looking fresh. 

Mature size: 20-30 feet tall & 15-25 feet wide

Minimum temperature: -10° F (a little less hardy than the straight species)
