This little gem is a lucky find when available. It's semi-evergreen to deciduous (depending on conditions) and has shiny, black, wiry stalks holding pinnately divided fronds in a flat, fan-shaped arrangement. We've seen it turn a beautiful amber to pale gold in fall. Elegant yet tough — a winning combination. Native to coastal cliff sites on Vancouver Island, BC.
Mature size: up to 8 inches tall & s l o w l y spreading up to 1 foot wide in 5 yrs.
