With provocative dark green spiny leaves and exotic vermilion red fall flowers, you'll find a place for this Ethiopian highland native if you enjoy the unusual. Unlike other Acanthus, this one holds its upright form and its leaves look great well into fall. Thereafter it's likely to beautifully skeletalize for additional mileage.

Carefully packed for each plant

Once your order is ready, we bring the plants from our greenhouses into a holding area. Each plant is wrapped by hand and, when needed, staked to protect tender stems. Because our inventory is so diverse, we adjust the packing method for each plant based on its size, type, and stage of growth.

We reuse clean paper and plastic packing materials whenever practical. It is easier on the planet and helps keep shipping costs down for you, too.
