Lacey leaves, finely and deeply dissected, emerge pink in spring then become orange-red with bright green petioles in summer and, finally, bright red and orange in fall. This 2' mounding, deciduous, dwarf tree is very slow growing so would work well in a pot or perhaps on a small mound. Kawaii means "cute", translated from Japanese...aptly named.

Carefully packed for each plant

Once your order is ready, we bring the plants from our greenhouses into a holding area. Each plant is wrapped by hand and, when needed, staked to protect tender stems. Because our inventory is so diverse, we adjust the packing method for each plant based on its size, type, and stage of growth.

We reuse clean paper and plastic packing materials whenever practical. It is easier on the planet and helps keep shipping costs down for you, too.
