Adiantum aleuticum (Western Maidenhair) and Adiantum jordanii (California Fan Maidenhair) produced naturally this Maidenhair hybrid that is reportedly particularly cold-hardy and is curiously evergreen while its parents are not (apparently rebelling). Like the other Maidenhairs, it has black-stemmed delicate arching fronds and forms a feathery green mound. 2' tall clump.
