This slow-growing deciduous tree, broadly conical, has a tropicalesque and blousy visage with the prettiest, pale, silvery light green leaves with darker veins. Its upright, conical, floral racemes in late spring are likewise pretty and pale, a soft yellow or cream. A dark, coniferous background would show it off to best advantage and give it some needed shade. The original seedling was discovered by William Wisselink in Holland.
